The 21 annual Hospital Auxiliary golf tournament was held Sept. 17 at White Pines Golf Course. Teams sponsored by businesses and individuals participated in the Captain’s Choice competition.

The AT&T entry was the first place winner. Team members were John Squires, Jay Dabbs, Gerald Watts and Curtis Hutto. The team sponsored by Dr. John Moore finished second. Members of that team were Dr. John Moore, Glenn Searcy, Pam Searcy and Chris Davis.

Homer Hinson, Randy Tiller, Daniel Johnson and Jimmy Hanf made up the team finishing in third place. The Hospital Auxiliary of Kershaw County is grateful to all the participants and sponsors who made this year’s tournament an unqualified success.

Sponsors of this year’s tournament were Fatz Café, First Community Bank, Heritage Community Bank, Powers Funeral Home, Progress Energy, and several anonymous donors.

Proceeds from the Auxiliary golf tournament are applied to scholarships for need-based scholarships for Kershaw County students who are enrolled in healthcare-related fields of study.
