Two fourth-graders from Malvern Hill Baptist Church and Camden Elementary School had a goal: revamp the visitation room at the Department of Social Services (DSS) to make it more child-friendly for foster children who come through. McKenzie Taylor and Madison Williams ran two lemonade stands to raise the money. They also received two gift cards donated by Wal-Mart totaling $125, a can of paint donated by Lowe’s and the hard work from the Malvern Hill Baptist Church youth group to complete the project. The group, including the two girls, sanded, painted walls and  bookshelves, cleaned, steam cleaned the furniture and carpet and placed new items within the room.
