Memorial services celebrating the life of Given Boyd Webster, 82, of Camden will be held Friday, November 4, 2011, at 2:00 PM at Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel.  Chaplain Joseph Kliebert will officiate.  The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent in Mr. Webster’s memory to the James Leroy Belk Post #17 American Legion Endowment Fund, PO Box 456, Camden, SC 29021.

Mr. Webster died Tuesday, November 1, 2011.  Born in Roanoke, VA, he was the son of the late Ayers Shelton Webster and Kate Milton Webster.  He was a retired Vice President of Operations for Builders Transport. Mr. Webster was a member of the Yadkin #0162 Masonic Lodge and the Oasis Shrine Temple.  He was a United States Marine Corps World War II and Korean War Veteran.  Mr. Webster was the current Commander and life member of the James Leroy Belk Post #17 of the American Legion, current Commander of District 11 of the South Carolina American Legion, life member of the VFW Post #5928, life member of the Forty and Eight #1444, former commander and life member of the Marine Corps League #1146 and former Kershaw County Coordinator for six years for the Marine Corps League Toys for Tots program.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Jane Fleming Webster; son, Given Boyd Webster, Jr. and his wife Karen Ann of Arab, AL.  He was predeceased by a son, Henry Ayers Webster; four brothers and two sisters.
