A Camden man was killed in a one-car collision late Friday night or early Saturday morning.

According to Kershaw County Coroner Johnny Fellers and Lance Cpl. Sonny Collins with the S.C. Highway Patrol, 61-year-old Dale McCaskill Sr. was driving west on Lakeshore Road when his 1964 Ford Galaxy veered off the right side of the road and struck a ditch.

McCaskill was the only occupant in the car, Collins reported, and he was not wearing a seatbelt.

The accident remained under investigation Sunday, Collins said.
