James E.L. “Eddie” Fickling has joined the Columbia-based firm of McKay, Cauthen, Settana, & Stubley, P.A. as an associate. He practices in the areas of workers' compensation defense, civil litigation, and subrogation and workers’ compensation appeals.

A graduate of The Citadel and the University of South Carolina School of Law, Fickling is a member of the South Carolina Bar as well as The Citadel Alumni Foundation. He served as a law clerk for the Labor, Commerce, and Industry Committee of the South Carolina House of Representatives, as well as for The McKay Firm. “We are excited about adding Eddie to our workers’ compensation team,” said M.
