Donald Buhrmaster Sr.

Graveside service to celebrate the life of Donald Henry Buhrmaster, Sr., 89, of Camden will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, December 1, 2011 in Quaker Cemetery. Rev. Michael Bullock will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm on Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at the home and again following the service on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mr. Buhrmaster’s memory to The Camden Tree Foundation, P. O. Box 473, Camden, SC 29020 or to A. Sam Karesh Wing, 1315 Roberts Street, Camden, SC 29020.

Mr. Buhrmaster, widower of Elizabeth Whitaker Buhrmaster, died Monday, November 28, 2011. Born in Schenectady, NY, he was the son of the late Leland and Bertha Joos Buhrmaster. He was a US Army WWII veteran where he served as Captain. He retired with DuPont.

Surviving are his son, Donald H. Buhrmaster, Jr. (Mindy) of Mt. Pleasant and daughter, Elizabeth “Betsy” Cooper (Jake) of Simpsonville; 3 grandchildren, Donald H. Buhrmaster, III (Dawn) , John Harden Isaac and James V. Isaac, II; great-granddaughters, Elizabeth and Katharyne Buhrmaster; sister, Marion Bartling of Schenectady, NY. He was predeceased by a sister Marjorie Gardner.

The family would like to thank the staff of the A. Sam Karesh Wing and all of his caregivers for their love, dedication and loyalty.
