A positive approach to crisis in Europe

This writer is not in favor of any more money of any kind going to Europe to be wasted on their “more of the same.” Instead, we could help Europe and ourselves at the same time by instituting a nationwide all-American program of massive oil, gas and coal energy production.

The world price of oil would crash, thus reducing European energy costs and in itself stimulating both markets. In America, we would immediately remove over a million citizens from unemployment status. As American oil production increased to a point nearing surplus, we could begin furnishing European demand, while reducing if not eliminating, our joint demand for Middle Eastern oil.

I continue to suggest American oil and gas be delivered in American tankers manned, maintained and protected by American Merchant Seamen, but I’m old and not politically correct. One thing is for certain: “There will never be enough money to satisfy the socialist sickness for throwing it away.”

It’s time for some tough love and fiscal responsibility at all levels at home and abroad. No one is above the law and no one or no thing is too big to fail. Let them fail and restructure. The money is still in the system somewhere.

Reduce the size and purview of the federal government. Reduce the costs of doing business across the board, while increasing the responsibility of each individual in coordination with their own local and state governments.

Until an overwhelming majority of the American people realize and accept this premise, this truth, nothing will change, therefore we need a gigantic media and state educational effort to correctly inform the public to the point where they force Congress to pass veto proof legislation that repeals and reforms all of their economic roadblocks and restrictions even at the threat of impeachment.

There are no excuses for the prevailing national apathy and our disastrous economic monstrosity to continue one more day. Stay tuned.
