King Haiglar Garden Club celebrates holiday season with Christmas tea, ornament exchange

The King Haiglar Garden Club celebrated its Christmas Tea and Ornament Exchange on Monday, Dec. 12. Judy Smith hosted the tea at 1819 Hobkirk Court in Camden. Linda Shaylor, Sandra Lease, and Mary Nelle Gore co-hosted the gathering. Members were reminded to bring a gift-wrapped ornament to exchange. There was no horticulture or arrangements. Garden maintenance for December is to be done by Cathy Moss and Mary Acken. Those attending enjoyed this festive time with other members and guests!

December Garden Tips
1. Plant a live Christmas tree in honor of a loved one.
2. Lightly fertilize pansies.
3. Plant trees and shrubs.
4. Have a soil test done to prepare for spring.
5. Order seed catalogs.
