Brenda Barrett-Coleman received a Master of Arts degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Phoenix Dec. 11.

Coleman said of her experience, “In Montessori we already work with children on a one-on-one basis.  But this course helped me identify the different learning styles more accurately and with that understanding I was able to adapt my approach to meet each child’s needs more effectively.”

Coleman holds a bachelor’s degree from Columbia College and has also completed the Orton-Gillingham Associate Level of training. She has been a member of the faculty of the Montessori School of Camden since 2002 and has been the Lower Elementary lead teacher for seven years.
