Funeral service for Julia Elizabeth Sinclair, 91,of Ridgeway, was held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. Burial  followed at Aimwell Cemetery, Ridgeway.  The family received friends Saturday, 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., prior to the service at the funeral home.

Miss Sinclair died Thursday, January 05, 2012. Born in Camden, she was a daughter of the late Vernon H. and Lethia Trapp Sinclair, who ran the Camden Hotel. She was a graduate of Camden High School and enjoyed singing and playing the piano.

Miss Sinclair was a devoted member of First Baptist Church of Camden before moving her membership to the First Baptist Church of Ridgeway.  She published two books of poetry based on scripture.
Surviving are her sister, Myrtle Sinclair Thompson of Ridgeway; nieces, Betsy T. Starnes, Ruth T. Dumas, Susan T. Harrington, Ellen T. Roberts, and Fran T. Snell; nephew, Larry Thompson III; 15 great-nieces and nephews; and 14 great great-nieces and nephews.
