The Republican Party is set for its “first-in-the-South” presidential primary, scheduled for Jan. 21 here in South Carolina, with all registered voters in the state, regardless of party affiliation, eligible to cast a ballot. Rosalind Watson, director of the Kershaw County Voter Registration Office, said individuals must have registered by Dec. 21 to be able to vote.
