Help comes from many corners

We volunteer in the Christian Community Ministries food pantry. In these hard economic times, the need for food for those in need is greater than ever. We have more and more families who need food. Yet, the people of Kershaw County have been unbelievably generous in donating food and money to our pantry.

Food comes from many sources: from the U.S. Postal Service food drive in May, kindergarten classes, the Boy Scots, school groups, businesses, churches and individuals. All of these and more have contributed more food this year than ever. We also receive cash donations, which help us to buy food when we run low.

We are totally grateful for this and hope the good people of Kershaw County will continue to support this most worthy cause.
