Cooke finishes Air Force basic training

U.S. Air Force Airman Gregory T. Cooke graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.

Cooke completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Cooke is the son of Robbin Cooke of Elgin and grandson of Mary Mallory of Ridgeway. He is a 2011 graduate of Lugoff-Elgin High School.

U.S. Air Force Airman Jacob M. De Jonge graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.

De Jonge completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

De Jonge is a 2010 graduate of Camden Military Academy.
