Why are you running for 0ffice:

I am running for office because, Henry Kissinger stated, “The task of a leader is to get his people from where they are, to where they have not been.”  A lot can be said in quotes. I can relate to these quotes because I love to serve people and I love to take on new challenges and make them better. I am a firm believer that we must work and work with all of our might. Things happen when we give our all and have a passion to serve. I feel we all must have a servant’s heart no matter what title we hold.

What experience qualifies you for office?

I am excellent with public relation, both internal within a county and externally amongst the citizens. I am a servant leader by nature, who is given too much respect and honor for all people I encounter. I have served this county for 18+ years. I pride myself on winning confidence and support.  I work from the prospective of inspiring and persuading others to be committed to myself, the cause, and our team in order to get the job done. In doing this I find it of great importance to know what motivates people and to know how to be creative in providing them with the motivation they need. I do have my Master’s degree and PhD but with degrees you have to use your common sense, which can go a long way.

What are your goals for the treasurer’s office?

I am working on new ideals/goals for my office. I would like to see a drive through but there are still easement problems in the design of Office. With the problems in the economy I am looking into new software for partial payments of taxes.
