In an effort to improve literacy at Lugoff-Elgin Middle School, students spent the last 30 minutes of each day in enrichment. For several weeks, students read aloud "The Bully" and participated in activities related to the book. Students kept a journal and discussed the book with their teacher. A few students in Lynn Weeks class – including Kedar Jennings, Parker Gogan and Ryan Bland -- decided to "rap" the story to their classmates. It was exciting to see every student actively engaged and participating during the activities.
