More than 10 local businesses will participate in Camden Elementary School of the Creative Arts’ (CESCA) “Party Rocking into Healthy Living” event Tuesday. From 5:30 to 7 p.m., CESCA will present fitness tips, demonstration classes, healthy meal planning and more to the Kershaw County community.

“This event is going to be packed with information and resources, and it is going to be a lot of fun,” said Brittany Knapko, CESCA teacher of the year. “We are going to really celebrate the quality of life that a physically active and healthy lifestyle brings.”

Families will have the opportunity to take mini-classes in yoga, martial arts and zumba and participate in fun games throughout the night. In addition, many health- related vendors will be set up in the cafeteria.

The Kershaw County Recreation Department will also participate, and families may register their children for spring baseball at this event.

For those hungry after the exercise, CESCA will have healthy snacks to sample provided by the food vendors of the Kershaw County School District and local produce vendors with goods for purchase.

“I am very excited that the School Improvement Committee of Camden Elementary has decided to host this wellness fair. It is a great opportunity for our families and the community to connect,” Principal Ed Yount said. “It will provide the Camden Elementary community an outstanding opportunity to learn about wellness and the resources that are available in our community.”
