Who wants to be married in the most unforgettable wedding of the year?

The 17th annual Boykin Christmas Parade, widely known as the largest country Christmas parade in the South, to be held this year on Dec. 19 at 2 p.m., is looking for a couple who want to get hitched during the parade.

“They’ll be riding on their own float. We’ll even build it for them” promises parade organizer, Hank Kerfoot, president of Modern Turf in Rembert.  “They have a choice: they can get married in the middle of the parade, and if they want to get married in church, the historic, nondenominational Swift Creek Church is right there on the parade route,” he said. “And if they want music, we’ve got a wonderful gospel choir that sings a post-parade concert at the church every year.”

Any local couple interested in being married during the 17th annual Boykin Christmas Parade should contact Kerfoot at 713-8873 or
