Ribbon-cutting, pancake supper on CHS agenda

Camden High School will officially unveil its completed athletic complex with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, followed by a pair of events at the facility, on Thursday, March 8.
The ribbon-cutting will take place at 4 p.m.
At 4:30 p.m., the CHS boys tennis team will host rival A.C. Flora in a non -region match.
At 5 p.m., the Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs’ track teams will compete for the first time on their new track when they take on Region 6-AAA foes Lakewood and Crestwood in a 5 p.m. start.
All fans are encouraged to come out for the ribbon-cutting and stay for one or both of that day’s athletic competitions.
Pancake supper benefits Lady Bulldog hoops: The CHS girls basketball program will host its annual pancake supper on Tuesday, March 13 at the Camden McDonalds, located on West DeKalb St., from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.
Tickets are $5 each and may be purchased from any member of the Lady Bulldogs’ team or from Coach Natalie Jeffcoat.
All proceeds from the supper are used to help send the team to summer camp.
Academic Booster Club tees if up on Saturday: The Camden High School Academic Booster Club will host its annual golf tournament on Saturday, March 3 at White Pines Golf Course in Camden.
The 18-hole event with begin with a shotgun start at 9 a.m.  
The entry fee is $200 per four-person team which includes green fees, lunch and snacks. Individuals and organizations are encouraged to sponsor a hole for $100.
