The North Central boys’ track team won a home tri-meet with Andrew Jackson and Central on Tuesday.
The Knights led the way with 61 points followed by Central with 47 and AJ with 32.
Carl Olson’s squad was led by junior Clarence Williams, who set a school record in the 200-meter run with a time of 22.20, to take first place in that event. Freshman Will Mathis also set a new school standard in the pole vault as he cleared the bar at 10 feet. Several other Knights had season-best times and/or distances in the victories.
The Lady Knights did not fare as well as they came in third place with 19 points behind AJ which topped Central, 44-37.
North Central returns to the track next Thursday when the Knights and Lady Knights head to Lancaster for a 5 p.m. meet.
