The garden of Yvette and William Bull of Santee will be on the tour Saturday.

Want to see live oaks, dripping with Spanish moss or what may be the state’s  oldest crepe myrtle? Wonder how to prune azaleas or have the “TA-DA!” moment, viewing the works of an internationally-acclaimed horticulture sculptor? Then, you must Follow The Blooms!

Get your March issue of Southern Living magazine, and see this garden tour featured in two articles! Sponsored by The Garden Club of South Carolina, Inc., the tour features four weekends, spotlighting different areas of the state.

• Saturday, March 24:  Holly Hill, Santee, Bowman and Allendale. Guests will have the opportunity to see eight home gardens in Holly Hill; have lunch in a lakeside log cabin in Bowman; and be inspired by a Pink Garden, dedicated to breast cancer victims  and survivors in Allendale.

• Sunday, April 1: Hilton Head Plantation. Guests can visit the Mystical Garden flower show; and see Honey Horn Plantation’s butterfly enclosure, late-blooming camellias and Coastal Discovery Museum.

• Saturday, April 14: Conway will feature a visit to six gardens; see walled gardens, woodland walks and three-generation gardens; enjoy a garden on a bluff, a Bluebird trail and heritage camellias and azaleas

• Friday, April 20:  Bishopville and Lake City guests will be awe-struck by Pearl Fryar’s topiary garden in Bishopville. Tour will also include a visit to Moore Farms botanical and research garden in Lake City and a celebration with finale luncheon and cooking demo by first lady of USC, Patricia Moore-Pastides
