Age is just a number.
If you don’t believe that, just ask Charlie Simmons who fired a hole-in one during a round of golf played at the White Pines Golf Club earlier this month.
The 81-year-old Kershaw County resident needed just one swing of the club on the 16th hole to find the cup. The hole was playing at 95 yards that day and Simmons used a pitching wedge to accomplish the feat.
Playing alongside Simmons that day and witnessing the hole-in-one were Mitch Reaves, Linda Brasington and Louis Brasington.
