Up with the vote

Camden Elementary School students participated in a mock election for governor Oct. 19. Students received voter registration cards, were assigned to different precincts and placed their votes electronically in a real voting booth. Vincent Sheheen, the Democratic candidate, came out on top with 447 votes. Republican opponent Nikki Haley received 157 votes. Here, student Faith Outlaw casts her ballot in the voting booth while Martha Jones and Tyona Barnes wait in line.
