Hobkirk's Hill salute

Members of the Hobkirk's Hill Society -- (from left) Lawson Lewis, Charles Baxley and Don Terrell – present a Betsy Ross flag to Camden City Councilman Willard Polk (right), who is also a society member, for the city to fly at the Town Green during the Battle of Hobkirk's Hill Week April 19-25. Residents and businesses are urged to fly the Betsy Ross flag during the observance to commemorate the battle, fought on April 25 in present-day Camden. Polk presented the flag to Camden Mayor Jeffrey Graham at council’s Tuesday  meeting.
