Get involved in children’s lives

As a society, we must have strong laws and appropriate punishment for the perpetrators of hate crimes against humanity. No free society can function without prison walls. How long will Americans be a land of prosperity when we cannot protect our children?

The tragic event in Stanford, Fla., is as frustrating to every American as it is devastating to those immediately involved. My prayers are with those suffering beyond my imagination. Many of the problem that  affect our children can be remedied by government action. But some of the most vexing problems that affect our children have to be solved by adults.

Malcolm X once said, “Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today.” I plead with all to get involved in your children’s lives, raise them yourself, protect them, take them to church, give them a value system and pray for God’s spirit to move across America. And convict men of sin.
