Charlotte Catholic High School senior Matt Cincotta, the grandson of Marion and Dot Yarbrough of Cassatt, signed a national football letter-of-intent with Marshall University earlier this year. Flanking the soon-to-be Tundering Herd long snapper were his parents, Brenda and John Cincotta. Looking on from behind is Charlotte Catholic head football coach and athletic director, Steve Christmas. The 6-foot, 220-pound Cincotta was a member of the 2011 North Carolina Shrine Bowl team. In his high school career, he registered 213 tackles with 6.5 sacks and an interception. He is also the nephew of Camden’s Reggie and Sherri Dean.
