Mrs. Reeves, left this world in the arms of Jesus on April, 27, 2012. She has won the victory over Alzheimer’s Disease and gone to be with her beloved husband, Wallace R. Reeves, Jr. who departed this life on June 21, 2001. She is at last in the presence of her Lord and Savior, and has been reunited with Wallace, the "Love of her life". They are now safe in the arms of their Heavenly Father where they will be "TOGETHER FOREVER". She had suffered from Alzheimer’s and had been a resident of the Karesh Wing in Camden, SC for the last five years.

Mrs. Reeves was born April 29, 1914 in Coward, SC, the daughter of the late Otto Jackson Hicks and Annie Smith Hicks. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother and homemaker. She was predeceased in death by her mother and father, her loving husband Wallace R. Reeves, Jr., two brothers, Austin Hick, Elmer "Bo" Hicks, and one granddaughter Elizabeth Ann "Beth" Reeves all of Camden.

She is survived by her two sisters, Catherine Hicks Reeves and Carol Meckstroth; four children, Barbara R. Moody (Robert), Alice R. Team (Steve), Wallace R. "Mickey" Reeves, III (Sandra) all of Camden and Mary R. Boan (Walker) of Inman; nine grandchildren, Vickie Moody (Scott), Kevin Moody, Chip Team (Cindi), Alan Team, Jennifer R. Roose (John), Emily R. Kimpton (Jimmy), Kim Roller (Heather), Cathy R. Herrington; 14 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.

God saw she was getting tired. A cure was not to be. So he put his arms around her and whispered, "Come with Me". With tearful eyes we saw her fade away. Although we loved her dearly, we could not make her stay. A golden loving heart stopped beating, hard working hands to rest. God broke our hearts to prove he only takes the very best. May her memory be eternal. Author unknown.

The family wishes to extend special thanks to Elva’s caregivers at the Karesh Long Term Care Facility of KershawHealth.
