Kindergarteners through fifth-graders in Kershaw County can head off to Camp R.A.C.E., a free camp to be held June 11-14 at Doby’s Mill Elementary School. The camp will focus on nutrition and agriculture while students have fun with hands-on, real-life experiences with agricultural connections in their community.

Students will benefit through 4H nutrition and agriculture programs with the theme “Healthy Lifestyles and Health Rocks!” They’ll also experience farm to school activities and go on field trips and tours.

The registration deadline is May 23. Doby’s Mill Elementary is located at 1964 Fort Jackson Boulevard (S.C. 12) in Elgin.

For more information, contact the Kershaw County Clemson Extension Service’s Kim Theirrien at 432-9071, ext. 0, or kthierr@clemson.edu.
