Former deputy acting as Bethune chief

Town hires additional officer, water operator

A former Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office deputy has been acting as Bethune’s police chief since not long after the late Larry Davis resigned following his diagnosis of terminal cancer in February. Bethune Town Clerk Janice Hunter confirmed former deputy Jimmy Miller is acting as chief on a temporary basis.
