Some are torn. Some are faded and need to be replaced. American Legion Post 195 of Lugoff will conduct its annual flag disposal ceremony of old and tattered flags Saturday.

The ceremony will begin at 7 p.m. at the Lugoff Fire Department (LFD) on U.S. 1 South. The public is invited to attend and encouraged to bring flags for disposal in the proper manner. There will be seating available under cover. The ceremony will end with a 21 gun salute and Taps

Flags may also be dropped off at the LFD and at Elgin Town Hall. For more information, contact Bill Heil at 438-6814.
