Lugoff-Elgin High School senior Matthew Spitzer achieved the distinction of Eagle Scout at a Court of Honor May 20. Matthew’s required service project included preparing a detailed map of the historic cemetery of Smyrna United Methodist Church in Elgin. Matthew also built a prayer garden and seating for visitors.
