Austin Brown comes home second at PARX Racing

It has been a busy first year of racing for Austin Brown.
The 3-year-old Fusaichi Pegasus colt, named after the former Camden resident at Carolina Carolina Cup Racing Association Chairman-Emeritus, finished second in a $17,000 maiden race at PARX Racing last Tuesday.
Owned by Aiken’s Dogwood Stable and trained by Christopher Grove, who took over the duties from Todd Pletcher, Austin Brown was making his sixth start in a career which began with a pair of eighth-place finishes in February and March. He then was second at Pimlico -- by a length and a half -- in April before finishing fourth in a maiden special weight at Charles Town in West Virginia on May 2.
Eleven days later, Austin Brown returned to Pimlico and was again on the board with a third-place run.
