Field day planned to showcase ham radios

Local amateur radio enthusiasts will be gathering from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at Camden Military Academy (CMA) to take part in an Amateur Radio Field Day. The event is scheduled in conjunction with Amateur Radio Week as a way for local radio operators to meet and for newcomers to learn more about the technology, often called “ham radio.”
