Miss Moody, Mr. Lilliston wed

Kimberly Dawn Moody of Camden, S.C. and Courtney Quinzel Lilliston of Pickens, S.C. were united in marriage June 2, 2012, at the Bible Way Church of Atlas Road in Columbia, S.C. Reverend B. Jerome Goodwin officiated the double-ring ceremony at 2:00 p.m. The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents. After the ceremony, guests were entertained with a reception at Leaside.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oliver B. Moody of Camden, S.C. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Goodwin of Camden, S.C., and the late Mr. & Mrs. MC Mack Moody of Spartanburg, S.C. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics from Francis Marion University and a Master of Science degree in software development from Winthrop University. She is employed at Presbyterian College in Clinton, S.C. as an Information Technology Analyst.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Roosevelt Lilliston of Pickens, S.C. He is the grandson of Mrs. Joann Gowens and the late Mr. John Gowens of Pickens, S.C., the late Walter Collins of Accomac, Va. and the late Virginia Chase of Portsmouth, Va. He received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in business economics from Francis Marion University and a Master of Education in School Counseling from Liberty University. He is employed at Donaldson Career Center with Greenville County School District as a guidance counselor in Greenville, S.C.

Maid of honor was Ms. Bridget D. Moody, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Natissa Oliver, friend of the bride, Ms. Ravin Lilliston, sister of the groom and Ms. Tammy Stratford, cousin of the bride. Flower girl was Miss Laura James, cousin of the bride. Mr. Johnnie Goodwin was the honorary grandfather of the bride.

Best man was the groom’s father, Mr. Roosevelt C. Lilliston. Groomsmen were Mr. Aaron Gowens, uncle of the groom, Mr. Michael Hardy, friend of the groom, and Mr. Melvin Patterson, friend of the groom. Ring bearer was Master Christian Stewart, cousin of the bride.

Ushers were friends and family of the bride; Mr. Reuben Brown, Mr. Cameron Hewett, Mr. Kevin Roach and Mr. DeWayne Stratford. Family members serving as hostesses were Mrs. Sharon Johnson, Ms. Crystal Stafford, Ms. Jessica Stratford, Miss Davia Stuckey and Mrs. Tanya Wilson.

Honorary Guests were Mrs. Nathalia Bowser, Mr. & Mrs. James Brantley, Mrs. Emily Byrd, Mrs. Margie Cooke, Mr. Benjamin Goodwin, Mr. & Mrs. Melvin Goodwin, Mr. & Mrs. Phillip Goodwin, Mrs. Mary Gordon, Mrs. Maggie Hector, Mrs. Ruth Holmes, Mr. & Mrs. Andrew James, Mrs. Shirley Lawhorn, Mrs. Zinie Lewis, Mr. & Mrs. David Lilliston, Mrs. Rosemary Mangum, Mrs. JoAnn Nobles, Mrs. Cecelia Richardson, Mr. & Mrs. John Robertson, Mr. & Mrs. James Smith, Mr. & Mrs. Daniel Stratford, Mr. & Mrs. Paul Weldon and Mr. & Mrs. Perry Williams.

Mr. Dante Lewis, saxophonist, and Ms. Dionne Hough, pianist, performed a program of wedding music. The wedding directors were Mrs. Pearl Boswell and Mrs. Lynda Nelson of Camden, S.C.

A miscellaneous shower was held May 4. It was hosted by the bride’s cousin, Mrs. Tanya Wilson and sister of the bride, Ms. Bridget Moody. It was held at the Polo Commons Club House, entertained with refreshments. Bride’s coworkers hosted a recipe shower and ice cream social on May 17 in Clinton, S.C.

Following the rehearsal on June 1, the groom’s parents hosted a dinner at Bible Way Church of Atlas Road in the Fellowship Hall. On the day of the ceremony as a thank you for everyone participation, a lunch was provided for the wedding party and directors.

Following the honeymoon to Cancun, Mexico, the couple will reside in the Greenville, S.C. area.
