LFD discovers alligator after fighting fire

Members of the Lugoff Fire Department (LFD) made a startling discovery while checking possible damage from an apartment fire June 18: a young American alligator. According to LFD Chief Dennis Ray, firefighters weren’t even in the damaged unit at Lugoff’s Lynwood apartment complex off Frenwood Lane when they found the alligator.
