Beginning Tuesday, July 17, natural resource professionals will guide young explorers through three days of adventure at Goodale State Park. Sponsored by the Kershaw Conservation District, the 2012 Conservation Day Camp promises to be both a fun and educational experience as explorers take walks; learn to identify birds, plans and other wildlife; make art castings of tracks and other nature findings; and improve their skills at fishing with some hand-on S.C. Department of Natural Resources fishing instruction.

The camp is limited to 15 children. The registration deadline is July 10 and a medical release for each child is required. The cost is $20 per child and children will need to be dropped off at Goodale State Park’s community building. Daily activities will conclude back at base camp with question and answer sessions, some healthy snacks and parent pickup at 1 pm.
