It all began with a letter penned in 1953. By then the writer was 70 years old and he was answering an inquiry from Judge Allison P. DuBose of Camden. The letter from Inman F. Eldredge (1883-1963) was in the Camden Archives and Museum’s vertical file on the Hobkirk Inn. I was working on the Camden Gardens exhibit and the Hobkirk Inn was one of the gardens in the exhibit -- so I “found” ...
