An alumni night for former members of the Camden High School (CHS) band is set to take place Sept. 28.  Marching Band Director Robert Spitler is seeking to bring together alumni to play with the current CHS band and perform the school’s fight song, alma mater, among others. The event will take place during Camden’s home game against AC Flora. Even those members who haven’t played in years are invited to come out and give it a try. Camden Class of 1969 alumnus William “Rusty” Major explained that “if you were a member of the famed Scarlet Regiment under Robert Wertz or a member of the Championship Marching Bulldogs under Bill Basden, or had a baton thrown at you by Pat Wylie, we want you.” For more information, contact Major at 243-1719 or wcrmi@aol.com.
