Joyce A. Maley, Captain, U.S. Air Force (Retired), Elgin, SC, passed away on August 1, 2012. She was born in Iowa on June 5, 1952 to the late Leonard and Cleo Maley and grew up in Modesto, CA. Joyce joined the U.S. Air Force in 1977 as a member of the Air Force band and retired in 1997. After retirement, she lived in Elgin where she bred Chinook dogs and was active in the local music community.

Joyce is survived by her brother, Len (Jean) of Fairport, NY and her nephew, David (Hollye) of Cary, NC.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday September 15, 2012 in the chapel of Kornegay & Moseley Funeral Home & Cremation Service.
