Guy Kahler has joined KershawHealth Primary Care at Lugoff, 116 Standard Warehouse Road, where he will practice along with Alice Brooks. The office is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. and on Wednesdays from 8 a.m. until noon.

A Camden native and long-time resident, Kahler graduated from Clemson University and completed his medical education at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. Additionally, he completed residency training in emergency medicine at University Hospital of Jacksonville (Fla.) and is board certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine.

“We are very pleased to have Kahler join the KershawHealth primary care team of physicians,” KershawHealth President and CEO Donnie Weeks said. “I’ve had the pleasure of working with him at KershawHealth in the past, and he has been a part of the Kershaw County medical community for many years. We appreciate the expertise he will bring to our organization and his dedication to outstanding patient care.”

Kahler served as an emergency room physician at KershawHealth from August 1993 until May 2002, before returning to primary care. He has been a physician for more than 30 years, and his medical interests include primary care, urgent care and occupational medicine.

“Joining KershawHealth’s primary care network is a wonderful opportunity for me. Dr. Brooks and I served as emergency room physicians at KershawHealth in the past, and I’m looking forward to working with her – and everyone at KershawHealth -- again,” Kahler said.
