Camden CC trio wins Lathrop Cup

The Camden Country Club team of, from left, Bob Stringer, Jimmy Burgess and Vic Hannon, claimed the third annual Lathrop Cup by six shots with a total of four over par 220. Camden won the Inaugural Lathrop Cup in 2008 when it was the host club. The 2010 South Carolina Golf Association Lathrop Cup was played on the par-72, Reserve Club at Woodside Plantation in Aiken. The field consisted of 21 teams playing in both the Lathrop Cup and the Lathrop Cup Pro-Am. The Lathrop Cup is comprised of three amateurs, over the age of 55, to compete for the Senior Club Championship of South Carolina. The Lathrop Cup is named after long time SCGA Executive Director Happ Lathrop and is one of 19 major championships conducted by the SCGA.
