I feel compelled to bring to your reader’s attention a slight correction regarding the photograph showing the dedication of the Patriot’s Landing. The loyalist fort captured by troops commanded by Thomas Sumter was called Cary’s Fort. It was located on the west side of the river fronting the old ferry.
