Elizabeth Marshall Ward and Albert Richard Pierce join in marriage

Mrs. Albert Richard Pierce, Jr.

Mr. and Mrs. Albert Richard Pierce, Jr. were married on October 27, 2012, at Millstone at Adam’s Pond. The Reverend Amos Jerman Disasa (PCUSA) officiated the 5:00 p.m. ceremony. A reception immediately followed.

Mrs. Pierce, the former Elizabeth Marshall Ward, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Memminger Ward, II of Simpsonville, SC, and Ms. Helen Vereen Ward of Charleston, S.C. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Emily Stevenson Vereen, the late Mr. Edward William Vereen of Camden, S.C., Mrs. Lucille Marshall Ward and the late Mr. James Memminger Ward of Lugoff, S.C.

Liz is a graduate of Presbyterian College and The University of South Carolina. She is employed by The Therapy Place, Inc. as a Speech Language Pathologist.

Mr. Pierce is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Richard Pierce, Sr. of Florence, S.C. He is the grandson of Mr. Albert Bruce Sealey and the late Mrs. Malva Sealey Berry and the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Emmette Pierce. Rick is a graduate of The College of William and Mary and the University of South Carolina. He is a partner with the law firm, Howser, Newman, and Besley, L.L.C.

Maids of honor were Miss Angela Gail Pierce and Miss Cheri Elaine Crockett. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Nan Richards Barnes, Miss Frances Porter Delaney, Miss Madeline Nicole Mishue, Mrs. Lori Baird Myers, Mrs. Mary Holland Regenovich and Mrs. Meghan Turner Swink. Flower girl was Miss Jocelyn Patricia Murray. Program attendants were Miss Jaqueline Jane Wazir and Miss Julia Renee Wazir.

Mr. Pierce served as his son’s best man. Groomsmen were Mr. Rowland Poole Alston, III, Mr. Jason Nicholas Finley, Mr. Justin Langston Finley, Mr. Shawn Paul Ralston and Mr. Robert Baxter Starnes.

Mrs. Margaret Christina DiBiase read scripture during the ceremony and Mrs. Kinsey Cooper Sheehan provided a solo prior to the bride walking down the aisle.

After a wedding trip, the couple will reside in Columbia, S.C.
