Louvena Barnes McClinton

Funeral service for Mrs. Louvenia Barnes McClinton, 80, or 1777 John G. Richards Road, Camden, will be held Tuesday, Nov. 23 at 1 p.m. at Good Hope AME Zion Church with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may visit at 1781 John G. Richards Road. Collins Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Born in Kershaw County, she was the daughter of the late Mr. Thompson Barnes and the late Mrs. Pennie Mickle Barnes. Mrs. McClinton attended Kershaw County Public Schools. She was a life long member of Good Hope AME Zion Church where she held offices in the Sunday School, Missionary, Usher Board, Stewardess Board and a class leader.

She was preceded in death by two children, Maggie S. McClinton and Charles W. McClinton and siblings, Isaac Barnes, Albertus Barnes and Weston Barnes.

Surviving are her husband, Willie McClinton; daughters, Williw Mae Williams, Loretta Harris and Ruby J. McClinton; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; sisters, Rebecca Drakeford and Thelma Warren and a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends.
