Tickets and reserved parking spaces of all varieties remain available for the Marion duPont Scott Colonial Cup Steeplechase Races in Camden.
The 43rd running of the Camden fall classic is set for Saturday, Nov. 17 at the Springdale Race Course in Camden. The first of the six races will take the starters’ flag at 12:30 p.m.
The afternoon of racing, featuring the $100,000 Colonial Cup (Gr. I), brings the curtain down on the 2012 National Steeplechase Association season and will likely be the deciding race in the chase for American steeplechasing’s Eclipse Award.
The gates to the Springdale Race Course will swing open to the general public at 9 a.m. with the Salute to the Military kicking off at 11 a.m.
In addition, once again, the Colonial Cup is giving away 3,000 complimentary general admission tickets and 500 complimentary parking passes to members of the military (active and/or retired) and their families. Those tickets were issued beginning on Tuesday and are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Military members should contact the ITT or MWR office at their local base to pick up a reservation form which should be delivered to the Carolina Cup Racing Association.
