Students at the Applied Technology Education Campus (ATEC) collected a whopping 907 jars of peanut butter during Red Ribbon Week in October as a part of ATEC’s annual project to benefit the food bank of Christian Community Ministries. Students were asked to bring jars of peanut butter which had red either on the label or on the top. The total easily surpassed the previous high of 614 jars. Students in the protective services, nursing and automotive technology programs collected the most jars and earned a pizza party and ice cream for their efforts. Showing off a portion of the peanut butter haul are Sheldon Wright of automotive technology, Leslie Bedford of honors practical nursing and Jacob Rostad of protective services.
