Funeral services to celebrate the life Thelma Roberts Waynick, 85, of Camden were held, Sunday, November 28, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Kornegay Funeral Home Camden Chapel with burial to follow in Quaker Cemetery. Rev. Buster Morris officiated. The family received friends Saturday, November 27, 2010 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Kornegay Funeral Home Camden Chapel. Memorials may be made in Mrs. Waynick’s memory to Malvern Hill Baptist Church, Building Fund, 1514 Malvern Hill Drive, Camden, SC 29020.

Mrs. Waynick, widow of Linzy Boyd Waynick, Sr. died Thursday, November 25, 2010. Born in Columbia, she was the daughter of the late William Treadford Roberts and Beulah Mae Price Roberts. Mrs. Waynick was retired from Skyline and was a member of Malvern Hill Baptist Church.

She is survived by her children, Linzy B. Waynick, Jr. and his wife Verley of Camden, Mary C. Waynick of Camden, Martha Branham and her husband William of Lugoff, JoAnn Branham of Camden and Dorothy Rabon and her husband, Jimmy of Camden; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by one grandson, L.B. Waynick; her brothers and sisters, Ruby Mae Robinson, Bertie Lee Roberts, Lester Phillip Roberts, Viole Roberts, Leroy Calvin Roberts, Edith Marei Roberts, William Treadford Roberts; one infant sister and Wilbert Lewis Roberts, Gilbert Ernest Roberts and Edman George Roberts all three of which died while serving their country during World War II.

Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
