A funeral service celebrating the life of Richard Stanley "Yank" Williams, 73, of Camden, will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 2, 2013 at Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel. Rev. Wayne Flowers and Rev. Brian Ogburn will officiate. Burial will follow in Quaker Cemetery. Family will receive friends at 1:00 PM, prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Richard’s memory to Parkinson’s Disease: National Parkinson’s Foundation, 1501 NW 9th Avenue, Bob Hope Road, Miami, FL 33136, or the American Cancer Society, c/o Gail Kirkland, 647 Lachicotte Rd., Lugoff, SC 29078.

Richard Stanley "Yank" Williams, husband of Magalene Scott Williams, was born in Lugoff, SC, the son of the late John Williams and Martha Branham Williams.

Besides his wife, Richard is survived by his sister, Kathern Williams of Lugoff; several nieces and nephews and special niece, Victoria Scott of Camden.

Besides his parents, Richard was predeceased by 4 sisters and 3 brothers.

The Williams family would like to thank the staff of Kershaw Health Hospice, especially nurses Renda, Ali, caregiver Milinda, and Chaplins Brian Ogburn and Wayne Flowers.

Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel, is in charge of the arrangements.
