Kershaw County Council will consider the awarding of bids for two KershawHealth ambulances during Tuesday’s meeting. Kershaw County Administrator Vic Carpenter said the costs of the ambulances were already incorporated in the county’s 2012-2013 fiscal year budget.

“KershawHealth had requested that the county provide some ambulances and council approved them when we had our budget discussions. The budget that was approved included that so they’ve gone out for bid now and we’re coming back to council to present them with the low bids,” Carpenter said.

Kershaw County Finance Director Angie Helms said the funds were incorporated into the county’s $825,000 capital budget. She also noted council will consider a low bid of $318,000 for the two ambulances during Tuesday’s meeting.

Other items on council’s agenda include:

•first reading of an ordinance related to the definition of a street in the county’s zoning code. Carpenter said the proposal would alter the number of lots that could be put on a road.

•a public presentation from Dr. Tray Dunaway of Historic Camden concerning the Kershaw County Visitor’s Center; and

•a public presentation from Dr. William Schoolmeester of KershawHealth.
