KershawHealth invites Kershaw County residents to submit entries for its Centennial Photo Contest that opened Tuesday. Four winners will be selected in both the Youth (under 18) and Adult (18 and over) categories. Winners will be announced and displayed during Centennial Celebration Week (April 21-27).

“We are very excited about this extraordinary milestone in the life of KershawHealth, and believe that photographs capturing the meaning of health and wellness in Kershaw County will add just another layer to the celebration,” said Joseph Bruce, Executive Director of the KershawHealth Foundation. “We really hope that people of all ages and qualifications will participate in this contest.”

The photo contest will be judged by Holly Stiles, visual arts teacher at Lugoff-Elgin Middle School; Kristin Cobb, executive director of the Fine Arts Center of Kershaw County; and Martha Bruce, former editor of the Chronicle-Independent and current editor of The Shaw News.

Interested participants should submit photographic art that answers the question: What does health and wellness in Kershaw County mean to you? Submissions may be delivered in person to 124 Battleship Road, Camden, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, or mailed to P.O. Box 7003, Camden, SC 29021-7003.
