A funeral service to celebrate the life of James Manuel Threatt, 66, of Cassatt will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, February 28, 2013 at Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel with burial to follow in Beaverdam Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Amos Hann will officiate. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7:00 til 8:30 PM at Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel. Memorial may be made in Mr. Threatt’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, P. O. Box 810, Memphis, TN 38101.

Mr. Threatt died Monday, February 26, 2013. Born in Cassatt, SC, he was the son of the late Clifford Threat and Ruby Morgan Campbell. He was a US Army veteran having served two tours in Veitnam and was the recipient of the Bronze Star and proudly served his country. Mr. Threatt was a member of the American Legion Post 17. He was retired from Kling Iron and Steel Company in Columbia. He was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

Surviving are his daughter, Shannon Denise Threatt of Cassatt; a granddaughter, Amber Threat of Cassatt; a great-grandson, Joshua Bryce Lee; a sister, Phyllis Horton (Sydney) of Maggie Valley, NC. He was predeceased by a brother, Errol Threatt.
